Xavier Chabeuf
Holds a Masters degree in Public Law as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in European Community Law from the Aix-en-Provence Law School. Mr Chabeuf is also a graduate of Aix-en-Provence's Institute of Political Science (Institut d'Etudes Politiques).
Me Chabeuf studied at the Paris Bar School and was admitted to the Paris Bar in December 2001, being sworn in during February 2002. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in American law from the Indiana University (Indianapolis – United States). He is licensed to practice in New York State since July 18, 2006.

After teaching tax law, public finance and courses in cultural and political issues at Aix-en–Provence University and the Aix-en-Provence Institute of Political Science, Me Chabeuf joined the European Community Law department of Landwell (the correspondant law firm of PriceWaterhouse Coopers) in Paris.

In 2002, he joined the law firm SCP Célice-Blancpain-Soltner, a law firm specialized in representing clients before the French Supreme Court, where he focused his practice on contract and commercial law and social security and worker's compensation litigation.

After returning from his studies in the United States in 2006, Me Chabeuf joined the Business Litigation department of the American law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges, working with Francis Teitgen, a former President of the Paris Bar, and Me Bernard Casanova. At Weil Gotshal he specialized in white collar criminal defense, commercial law, civil law, and press law.

In September 2009, Me Chabeuf left Weil Gotshal to form his own practice. In October 2010, he and Manuel Dambrin founded Cardinal. Me Chabeuf is fluent in French and English.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American University Clubs of France, the IU School of Law Alumni, and Anciens élèves de l'IEP d'Aix-en-Provence.

Manuel Dambrin
Holds a Masters degree in Private Law and graduated from the Paris XII University where he obtained a "Business Lawyer" post-graduate diploma. He was admitted to the Bar in December 2000, and was sworn in February 2001.

In October 2005, Me Dambrin founded his own practice, drawing on his expertise in labor law litigation. In 2010, he co-founded Cardinal with Xavier Chabeuf.

Me Dambrin draws on an extensive knowledge of case law and over a decade of experience in judicial appelate proceedings to provide his clients a pro-active approach to litigation cases as well as employment law planning and policy matters.

Me Dambrin works in French and has an excellent knowledge of German.

Mélanie Haddad

Mélanie Haddad
Holds a Masters degree in Business Law from the Paris-I-Panthéon-Sorbonne Law School, and graduated from the Paris XII Law University where she obtained a "Business Lawyer" post-graduate degree.

After several internships, including work with the Paris Commercial Court and several law firms, she joined Cardinal in October 2011 just before being sworn in to the Paris Bar on December 15, 2011.

Me Haddad works in French and in English.

Cardinal works closely with a select network of other firms and attorneys in order to provide clients necessary expertise in complementary domains of French and foreign law.
